RxFYI is a new, free weekly e-newsletter customized for each participating pharmacy in the Mirixa network. The purpose of the newsletter is to help pharmacists build patient loyalty and generate revenue. "Patients want to learn more about their medications from their pharmacists, and according to a recent Jupiter Research study, 80% of consumers are interested in receiving medication information from their pharmacy," says Donald W. Hackett, CEO of Mirixa. Mirixa provides participating pharmacies with the editorial content, manages the advertising inventory, and gives the pharmacies all the marketing tools to promote patient registration to receive the e-newsletter. According to Bruce Roberts, executive VP and CEO of the National Community Pharmacists Association, Mirixa is working to position independent pharmacies as a valuable place for advertisers to reach pharmacy audiences. "In the past, independent pharmacies would have been overlooked, and now we have a voice and it makes for good business," says Roberts. |
