PACMED C30 is the new system that extends the safety and convenience advantages of its onePAC packaging to consumers who take more than one prescription a day.

Each 30-day onePAC strip contains a series of unit- and/or multidose packages that are prepared and verified at the pharmacy. Each package is custom printed with the patient name, medication names and strengths, pill descriptions, and time of dose to facilitate adherence.

“Adherence is a critical touch point in the circle of pharmacy care, and Parata’s launch of PACMED C30 offers an exciting new way for pharmacists to extend their care by improving patient adherence, safety, and convenience,” says Tom Rhoads, executive VP for customer and market strategies.

The new packaging system is designed specifically for small-scale pharmacy programs. The C30 model can accommodate 30 canisters of top movers, and a special tablet system handles one-off medications. It can generate up to 60 unit-dose or 50 multidose packages a minute, and Parata’s proprietary Server Plus software offers a flexible interface.

The company is supporting the rollout of the new system with a national consumer awareness campaign, including the launch of www.myonepac.org.
