Since its inception, TeleManager Technologies has invested heavily in research and development that is beginning to pay off. The company's newest central IVR is voice- over-IP compatible and will run on the most popular IP telephony platforms, including Dialogic and Cisco. Scalability will provide the affordability necessary for offering speech-enabled technologies, now in beta testing, to allow callers to speak their responses to the IVR's template of queries, eliminating the need to key in the prescription number. The system is Windows based, and with a centralized configuration, there is no need for hardware at each pharmacy location. Yet system administrators can customize each location's IVR system and at the same time permit local pharmacy staff to use their workstation screens to handle all IVR workflow management features. The latest offering from TeleManager can also be hosted at the company's headquarters in Newark, N.J. The hosted arrangement provides the pharmacy with a failover redundancy and requires only minimal internal IT support. Other features include surveying and marketing functionality, outbound refill reminders, and prescription pickup reminders. Also, new target messaging can provide specific information to any subset of patients.
