Innovation, located in Johnson City, N.Y., and developer of PharmASSIST pharmacy automation solutions, will be offering the Refill TeleManager IVR system as an integrated feature in its Symphony workflow management system. Commenting on this new functionality, Mary Reno, CEO of Innovation, says, "We're true believers in IVR systems, and the TeleManager IVR addition to Symphony provides our customers with yet another option for increasing efficiency and improving customer service."
Paul Kobylevsky, COO of TeleManager, sees the combination of Refill TeleManager and Symphony as providing an "easy-to-use application to optimize every aspect of the refill process and further streamline workflow."
The integration of IVR with Symphony will give patients access to the status of their prescriptions while pharmacists, through an on-screen interface, can perform all refill management-related tasks. In addition, out- bound faxes to the physician's office when needing an authorization on refills will be facilitated, as will outbound calls to patients to remind them to pick up their prescriptions, if they agree to such a service.
