McKesson’s Next-Gen System Gains Market Acceptance | Print |  E-mail

McKesson Pharmacy Systems' EnterpriseRx, billed as a next-generation system, now has over 430 customer sites live and operating on the software. The company has seen increased market momentum for EnterpriseRx since its beta release in the fall of 2006. Today, 25 clients representing more than 2,100 sites have selected the system for their pharmacies. Seven clients have completed full conversion to the system, including Dierbergs, Food City (KVAT), Ingles, Q Pharmacy, BJC, CHD Meridian, and Wegmans.

EnterpriseRx is a Web-based system that was built from the ground up, with the help of pharmacists with real-world experience.

In addition, McKesson has refined its training approach, offering clients a blend of online, self-paced courses, instructor-led classes, customized training, and application reference materials. As of the end of July, more than 2,700 users completed the computer-based training program. "We have optimized our implementation process to help clients get up and running as painlessly as possible," says Dan Bruchwalski, VP of implementation for the company.
