In a recent report published by CMS on medication therapy management (MTM) that includes an extensive analysis of current MTM programs, Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care, located in Des Moines, Iowa, was the only national program selected for an in-depth case study. This detailed many components of Outcomes’ MTM program, including eligibility and enrollment, MTM services and reimbursement, estimated cost avoidance, quality assurance and client-payer accountability, and evidence of MTM effectiveness.

Outcomes is the leader in MTM programs in this country. In commenting on inclusion of Outcomes in the report, Patty Kumbera, COO for the company, says, “Further analysis of current MTM programs, particularly by objective third parties, is integral to the full value of MTM services being recognized within Medicare and elsewhere in the healthcare industry.”
