For the second consecutive year Kerr Drug has been named the top chain in Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care’s national MTM provider network. Kerr Drug pharmacists provided thousands of medication management services to Outcomes-covered patients in 2008. This involved documentation of over $2 million in estimated cost avoidance for nearly 10,000 MTM-eligible patients. “Over the past year, Kerr Drug has remained a front runner in the provision of MTM services and has demonstrated the value pharmacists deliver to the healthcare system,” says Brand Newland, Outcomes VP.

Fourteen other pharmacies, both independent and chains, were recognized. As a group the top 15 pharmacies documented, on average, $2,000 in estimated cost avoidance per patient.
