Uniweb, a leader in prefabricated, modular pharmacy storage, has designed shelving units that can accommodate Kirby Lester machines and accessories where space is at a premium in the pharmacy. For pharmacies using the new Kirby Lester KL30 automated dispensing and verification system, the Uniweb storage system is a convenient vertical method to organize the new device’s 30 or more drug-specific dispensing cassettes. For pharmacies with not enough free counter space for a Kirby Lester tablet-counting device, such as its KL15e, the Uniweb wall-mount shelf easily holds the counter and accessories on an open wall area.

“It is sometimes shocking to see how crowded a retail pharmacy can be,” says Christopher Thomsen, VP of business development for Kirby Lester. “Some pharmacists are concerned that they cannot spare any countertop space even for a Kirby Lester device that takes up less than two square feet. But Uniweb has now developed the perfect solutions for even the most space-constrained pharmacies.”

The company also announced that Medicine Shoppe International has named Kirby Lester as its designated vendor for counting technology for the approximately 800 Medicine Shoppe and Medicap pharmacies.
