Emdeon, a leading provider of revenue and payment cycle management solutions, has announced the acquisition of Fort Worth-based eRx Network. The transaction combines Emdeon’s existing pharmacy operations with eRx’s customer base, customer support, and advanced pharmacy switching technology.

Mark Lyle, CEO of eRx, has been named senior VP of the combined operation. “We are confident that Emdeon’s resources will allow our combined operations to accelerate new product introductions that will drive greater efficiency for our customers across healthcare,” says Lyle.

The combined operation will be called eRx Network, an Emdeon company.
