Increases to Health Mart Offerings
McKesson continues to add value to its Health Mart program. For example, it now offers a consumer Web portal, which is a customizable Web site for online refill ordering and for Health Mart pharmacists to communicate with their customers. By linking independent Web sites to the national Health Mart site, the portal allows consumers to easily find Health Mart pharmacies. It also features an easy-to-use health and wellness library filled with articles and podcasts on conditions and treatments.
MPS Adds Functionality to EnterpriseRx
The new functionality recently announced by McKesson Pharmacy Systems (MPS) includes a Health Mart-branded user interface and integration with Health Mart pharmacies’ Web sites through the EnterpriseRx pharmacy Web portal, a business intelligence tool called Enterprise Reports Director that provides reporting and analysis capabilities for monitoring business performance and trends, as well as modules for accounts receivable and long-term care.
MTM Program Paying Off
McKesson is finding positive results from its medication therapy management (MTM) pilot, which began in March 2008 with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaborative, a multiorganizational program led by the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin. Participating pharmacies are using software and services from McKesson to deliver MTM and receive reimbursement for these services from participating payers. More than 50 pharmacies in Wisconsin are taking part and earning as much as $800 a month.
