After two years of discussions, a new independent pharmacy cooperative, the American Associated Pharmacies (AAP) has been formed. This new entity combines two of the most successful independent co-ops — the Associated Pharmacies, Inc. (API) and United Drugs — as wholly owned subsidiaries of AAP. “By merging our two companies, we’ve created a game-changing organization with over 2,000 members that will revolutionize our profession,” says Bruce Semingson, COO of AAP. AAP is exploring relationships with other cooperatives and groups.
