TeleManager Technologies has introduced an app for the Apple iPhone and iPad called iRefill. This app will allow smart-phone users to order refills as well as get information about the pharmacy. Paul Kobylevsky, cofounder and COO of TeleManager, says this is the first pharmacy IVR company to have been approved by Apple to provide this app and have it released by the Apple app store. He explains that iRefill is an extension of the company's patented technologies like ASP/SaaS IVR and its Internet refill application.

The company has plans to offer similar versions for the Blackberry, Android, and other phones.

PDX is another company that has announced mobile phone functionality. PDX has partnered with mscripts, a leader in mobile phone technology, for the integration of this service with its PDX pharmacy system.

Because of the integration, PDX users can make the service available to their patients for two-way, interactive messaging that supports a wide range of phones, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Mobile, and Palm.
