RelayHealth has expanded its SaaS-based health information exchange (HIE) and personal health record (PHR) platform to include a certified electronic health record (EHR). With the new electronic health record, RelayClinical has been certified by the Drummond Group that it meets the functionality requirements for meaningful use.

The PHR functionality, in turn, gives patients a path to participate in their own care.

According to Jim Bodenbender, president of RelayHealth Connectivity Solutions, 80 organizations have chosen RelayHealth for clinical integration and health information exchange.
