The Cardinal Health Foundation has announced that 39 grants totaling nearly $1.2 million have been given to help hospitals, health systems, and community health organizations improve the effectiveness of patient care.

As part of this program, the foundation also awarded scholarships to 55 healthcare professionals to attend professional development programs led by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. These programs teach healthcare professionals how to create a culture of patient safety within their facilities.
