Medicine Shoppe International (MSI) has selected Net-Rx as its preferred vendor to provide automated off-site backup and data recovery services for the more than 900 domestic Medicine Shoppe pharmacies and 400 Medicap Pharmacies. Keith Riecke, director of pharmacy systems for MSI, says that Net-Rx was selected because of its specific IT solution, quick restore process, and around-the-clock support.

According to Paul Butler, VP of sales for Net-Rx, the company’s Rx-DataSecure service was developed specifically for pharmacies to address the issue of unreliable tape backup, while helping to meet the HIPAA guidelines of automated solutions with built-in redundancy at an off-site storage facility.
