PharmMD Solutions and Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care have become ASCP (American Society of Consultant Pharmacists) medication therapy management (MTM) provider partners.

These companies specialize in delivering MTM services to patients covered under a variety of drug benefit plans, ranging from employer-sponsored plans to those included from managed-care organizations. The ASCP partnership addresses the need for skilled technicians to deliver MTM services, as called for under the Medicare Part D benefit, especially for patients residing outside of nursing facilities.

In commenting on the importance of the ASCP partnership program, John Feather, executive director and CEO of ASCP, says, “These new partnerships will expand the reach of ASCP member consultant and senior-care pharmacists into community-based settings, bringing needed clinical expertise to medically complex patients wherever they reside.
