Rx-Net-Inc. now has a pricing system that will run on virtually any of the more popular pharmacy management systems. Auto-Rx-Net VSR (variable system ready) is a simple and efficient prescription-pricing software package that creates .XLS or .TXT files along with 55 predetermined pricing tables. According to Rx-Net President Michael Cannata, it easily downloads into the pharmacy's system with a minimum of software effort from the computer vendor.

Auto-Rx-Net VSR uses a database of more than 360,000 NDCs to establish product pricing, based on the pharmacy's ZIP code area. Once it's installed, the pharmacy can choose which retail segments - chains, mass merchandisers, or independents - that it wants to be competitive with. There are options to allow different pricing modalities and overrides. File downloads are automatically updated and run monthly from the company's secure server.
