HBS, an SXC company, has agreed to develop and support a real-time interface with voiceTech systems. This interface brings a more robust functionality to the systems already installed. It will give pharmacies using the voiceTech IVR system the added customer convenience of placing refill orders over the phone, the Internet, or at a voiceTech kisok and having these orders flow seamlessly into the HBS pharmacy management system. Another customer benefit will be automated notification by phone, email, or text messaging when a refill is ready for pickup.

Steven Hess, VP of pharmacy systems for HBS, notes that "HBS has worked with other vendors similar to voiceTech for several years, and we see the value of offering our customers multiple options." Tim Garofalo, voiceTech's president, adds that discussions are already taking place for the completion of additional interfaces between the two companies.
