Innovation Gains Wholesaler Endorsement

In an agreement with H.D. Smith, Innovation will be offering a variety of financial incentives to the more than 2,000 H.D. Smith customers for its PharmASSIST system. These include system discounts and financing options on the company’s line of automated dispensing and workflow technologies. Innovation’s David McNeal, national director of sales for community pharmacy, says, “We realize that investing in automation in this economic climate is a huge decision. We believe our products provide a technology growth path that’s both affordable and guarantees their automation investment.”

Meanwhile, Innovation has announced several new installations. WellDyneRx, a national pharmacy benefit management company, has installed the company’s PharmASSIST high-volume system at its new mail service facility in Lakeland, Fla. The Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a member of the Meridian Health family, has installed the company’s Symphony system to automate the outpatient pharmacy in Neptune, N.J.

Gregwire Pharmacy, an independent in Russell, Kan., where 200 prescriptions are filled on a normal day, with upwards of 350 on Mondays, has installed Innovation’s SmartCabinet system. And an independent in Savannah, Ga., LoCost Pharmacy, decided on the Symphony+ system, which combines automated counting with workflow software.
