MPS Sees Surge in Use of EnterpriseRx

In the past year McKesson Pharmacy Systems (MPS) has installed its EnterpriseRx system, which is offered as software-as-a-service (SaaS), in close to 1,500 chain, outpatient, and independent pharmacies, nearly tripling the number of live sites from a year ago.

EnterpriseRx is designed to help avoid data consistency issues by using an SaaS platform that centralizes databases. Authorized users can access real-time information from any location to manage workload, reporting, and inventory.

“The consistent adoption of EnterpriseRx demonstrates our ability to address known pharmacy operational challenges such as medication errors, workflow inefficiencies, and data discrepancies,” says Brenton Burns, senior VP of strategy, product management, and marketing for MPS.

According to Burns, more than 75 clients, representing 4,000 sites, have selected the SaaS-based system.
