SXC Health Solutions’ informedRx PBM division has been awarded full pharmacy benefit management accreditation from URAC, a nonprofit Washington, D.C.-based healthcare accrediting organization. This accreditation provides independent validation of pharmacy management excellence based on benchmarks in quality of care and continuous quality improvement processes.

URAC accreditation standards address industry practices on organizational quality, customer service, communications and disclosure, pharmacy distribution channels, drug utilization management, and formulary, pharmacy, and therapeutics committees. “SXC should be commended for meeting strict quality standards,” says Alan Spielman, URAC president and CEO.
