Freedom Data Services (FDS) has announced that pharmacy owners now have the option of off-loading the management of third-party claims reconciliation to the FDS reconciliation team. According to Clarence Lea, VP of marketing and industry relations, many owners want to free themselves of this task in order to have pharmacy staff available for additional patient-focused services.

The FDS eConcile reconciliation program is a Web-based service that lets pharmacy owners do their own third-party claims management. With the new eConcile Complete, FDS will manage this for the pharmacy to ensure timely and accurate payment from third-party payers.

Whether done by the pharmacy or the FDS staff, the reconciliation service can handle both a manual payment advice and the 835 electronic remittance advice.
