Now’s the time to make sure your name is included in the new Senior Care Pharmacist Directory, launched today at HelpWithMyMeds.org. The directory, jointly created by the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) and the ASCP Foundation, seeks to simplify the process of locating local senior care pharmacists.
All licensed pharmacists practicing in the United States are encouraged to list their services and credentials in this directory. This includes pharmacists in all work settings, from retail to those who specialize in geriatrics, so long as the pharmacist has the licensure. The more pharmacists who contribute their information to the directory, the greater the scope of people who can be reached and helped. To add your name, contact information, and credentials to the directory, please go toascp.com/directory. All American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) members can be added to the directory free.
In addition to the new directory, ASCP and the ASCP Foundation have jointly unveiled a new campaign to help older adults and their caregivers better understand what a senior care pharmacist brings to a health care team. This informational campaign includes a series of informational one-page handouts and videos detailing the various services a senior care pharmacist can bring to an older adult or caregiver. These educational materials are free for all to use and are located at HelpWithMyMeds.org.
