PerceptiMed, Inc., the makers of the scripClip™ pick-to-light will-call system has announced that Sandstone Pharmacies, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada have agreed to install the system in nine more of their pharmacies.

Bruce Winston, CEO of the 20-store chain says that the workflow and customer service benefits of the system have proven successful in their pilot. Based on that he is looking to install the system in nine more locations this year.

Winston saw the system at the NACDS Total Store Expo in San Diego in the summer of 2018 and was immediately drawn to the system. He states, “In comparison to all the other will call systems we looked at, the scripClip™ system was more flexible, not requiring us to make physical changes to our dispensaries.” He was taken by how it could insure all the prescriptions filled in his pharmacies were able to be quickly located because of the flashing LED clip attached to each finished script. The process saves time on each transaction and really pays off, he says, when the finished script has been misplaced. In addition to the flashing LED, the system sends a text or email message to the patient that their script is ready for pick-up once the clip is attached to the bagged prescription. Winston says, “After several months of careful evaluation of scripClip in the pharmacy closest to our corporate offices we were pleased to report that the scripClip system meet all our expectations.”

Daniel Makas, R.Ph., manager of the pharmacy that served as the pilot, says he has been impressed with how the LED clips the system uses help him improve customer service. He says by scanning every prescription into the system he is able to find any prescription for any patient in an instant.

Bob Curry, CEO for PerceptiMed says they are delighted that Sandstone Pharmacies sees the benefit of the scripClip system. “Our goal,” says Curry, “As a company, Is to create a system that is easy to use, easy to install and that makes a genuine difference in the working conditions of a pharmacy and that also improves customer service.” We look forward to moving forward with Sandstone Pharmacies.
