FrameworkLTC hosted 400 customer during its 13th Annual User Conference in Boston this September; the theme was “Build, Partner, Serve: Connecting the LTC Ecosystem.” President Scott Beatty said during his welcome,”What can we do to strengthen our roots to keep the industry strong? We are focused on our people, our technology, and our processes. Our goal is to strengthen these roots though education, inspiration, and through innovation.”

There is a high bar for long-term care (LTC) pharmacies as service levels continue to change and the scale of care needed expands as the patient population increases and there is additional clinical complexity. Beatty said the focus on the three pillars of build, partner, and serve makes it possible to keep up with the changing LTC world through the tools and technology featured at the conference.”With the growing complexity of the industry, we need the collective talents of the technology partners,” he pointed out.

New technologies covered at the conference included artificial intelligence, the new frontier of LTC at home, and capabilities to serve patients, driving success through product development. Several sessions were featured around core capabilities that will drive day-to-day business.

Vendor partners presented on leveraging technology and interfaces to reimagine the pharmacy workflow. Topics included harnessing the potential of accounts receivable optimization, establishing medication management excellence, and streamlining operations. A new integration with Virtue Technologies highlighted a pharmacy delivery system that has the potential to improve efficiency, patient experience, and accessibility through the use of advantaged technology (you can read more about this integration in ComputerTalk‘s September/October cover story).

Lab sessions gave attendees the opportunity to ask questions about issues specific to their pharmacy with a SoftWriters trainer. The SoftWriters team also shared insights and practical tips for managing new releases.

The 2024 conference is scheduled for Oct. 810 at ARIA Las Vegas.
